I was handed Beavertown’s copywriting baton for the first time in 2023, which meant writing strange, gag-led copy across website, blog, email & packaging as well as devising content for their Halloween and Christmas campaigns and the launch of a new pint-finding app.
A highlight was the ‘Dead Carpet’, an activation at the Prince Charles cinema, where we cast monsters like Dracula, The Mummy and the bride of Frankenstein as guests at the red-carpet premiere of Beavertown’s short, animated horror films. As part of the content captured at the event, I scripted a piece for ‘Eek! News’ where each monster gave an impromptu interview, tolerating questions about their lives on screen.
